Dear Diary,

I recalled myself when I met some local brothers here, Diary. I would really want to share it with you. Simple things are often thoughtful. It’s about ‘just’, and he woke me up. Dear Diary, he made a lot of sense, and it came with a lot of smile.

I was introducing myself to a few muslim brothers, and he was one of them. Then he asked me of my role in the federation, and I said, “I’m just a member.” He gazed at me and smiled, “The fact that you’re a member doesn’t make you ‘just’ a member. You’re a member. There is something huge about it.” And I kept silent.

He was right. I’m not ‘just’ a member, I ‘am’ a member. And there are lots of things held in it. And I realized that I put myself in a place I shouldn’t have.

Just like you, Diary. You’re not ‘just’ a Diary, you’re ‘a’ Diary. If you’d understand me. If the people out there would as well, and not be ‘just’ a muslim, but ‘a’ muslim. And not ‘just’ a preacher, but ‘a’ preacher.

Diary, I won’t be ‘just’ anymore. =)

Have your say
